Step 4: Undergo clinical training
Follow these steps
- You have to find a workplace yourself where you can do your clinical training.
- When you have found a workplace, your employer must apply for special authorisation.
- When you have completed your training, your manager and your supervisor will fill out a certificate for your clinical training (in Swedish). In the introduction of the form, there is in-depth information for both interns and employers. This information should be read by both you as an intern and your employer before agreeing on clinical training. You must also sign the certificate.
The appendix with important regulations for pharmacists and prescriptionists (in Swedish) serves as a guide to regulations at a pharmacy. - Enclose the certificate when you submit your application for a licence in the next step.
You will need special authorisation
In order to practise as a prescriptionist you need to have a temporary permission, i.e. special authorisation. The workplace must apply for special authorisation at least one month before you are due to start. You cannot apply yourself. You may not begin practising until the application submitted by the workplace has been approved.
